While many ofo us know that networking is important so that we can physically GROW our network-are we taking advantage of really building our network?
Tips to GROW YOUR NETWORK
1-Arrive Early for Networking Events
When you are attending an event, give yourself lots of time to get settled into your seat by arriving early. No one likes to be late or rushed when getting to an event, so leave yourself ample time to get sorted so that you can make the most of your time networking. Arrive early, be prepared, and be ready to network efficiently!
2-Connect with other business owners in your industry
We can all benefit from knowing people in our industry. When you are networking, look for people who share common industries when you are growing your network. People who are in your same industry will be useful for future collaborations, affilate marketing and even for possible shared campaigns.
3-Build a database and FOLLOW up
Once you are back in the office, build a networking database so that you can follow up quickly and efficiently when needed. Add your new contacts into a binder, spreadsheet or any sort of working document so that you can quickly refer to people you have already met who you might need in the future. This is especially efficient when you are running your own campaign or events and you need to connect quickly with other business owners to share your message. Be sure to store your database in a safe place and update it regularly.
