Why Networking is Important-Getting in front of an audience!
One of the best reasons that we think networking is important is that it allows you to get in front of an audience. An audience can be many different types, but having one is crucial to be an effective entrepreneur and business owner. After all, if you have no audience, it most likely means you have no customers!
Tips on Getting In Front of An Audience:
1-Go to as many “networking” opportunities as you can.
Networking groups are popping up all over and with social media, think outside the box. Join groups, talk to people on and offline, and be sure to try new things to meet new people!
2-Host an event at your office or home.
People love to be social. Do you have a product or service? Offer to do a traditional ‘home party’ or even a casual get together with some friends if you are just starting out. Show people in a relaxed environment what you are doing and have some fun while you are at it! Make it a theme for even more fun or attach your event to a good cause like an animal rescue or shelter and ask your guests to bring change and non perishable food items. Everyone will feel good and you will feel more at ease if you host!
3-Ask for Speaking Opportunities
Getting up on stage can sound scary, but you don’t have to get up in front of 500 people for your first speaking engagement. Start small and then work your way up. Getting in front of a new network at an affiliate event allows you to reach new markets in circles that are already formed. Can you think of one area where you can speak this month?
